Insya Allah this village is not only as tourism destination and culture center, but can also become a center for the development and publication of Betawi culture," Anies expressed as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.
Setu Babakan's Anniversary Celebration Targets 2,000 VisitorsThis must be a momentum to be even more developed, not only physically, but must have studies.
He also hoped that Betawi culture could truly host its own land and fascinate guests from other places including the international world.
"This is because the Betawi people are now everywhere, not only in Jakarta. However they must be charming guests. Then those who are in Jakarta, they are the host. Therefore, I hope we push together. Later we will take part in the facilitation," he explained.
He furthered that the 19 years is not a short time so he appreciated the efforts of the management, especially the Forum for the Study and Development of the Betawi Cultural Village, which had consistently preserved and developed the Betawi culture.
On the other hand, the Jakarta Provincial Government had held the Jakarta Muharam Festival at the Hotel Indonesia traffic circle and the Lenong performance at the City Hall.
Therefore he hoped that the Betawi art and cultural expression activities will get a stage and can be carried out periodically, continuously, as well as gets a place for the young generation.
